Benefits of Walk in Baths

It’s been established that bathing comes with numerous health benefits. These include, easier breathing and improved heart health; benefits to your joints and bones; and improved immunity and balanced hormones.

However, we understand that as you get older, getting in and out of the bath is not only more challenging, but can be dangerous.

This is what makes walk in baths so essential to your health and safety. With walk in baths, you’ll not only be able to enjoy a relaxing deep soak, but you’ll be able to retain your independence for longer.

Here are just some of the safety features that make a walk in bath a great option for those with mobility issues.

01 – Easy access low threshold door

Our easy access baths are built with a low threshold door to make getting in and out a simple and stress free process. If you have limited mobility, then the thought of climbing in and out of a bath can be frightening.

We wanted to ensure that our customers could continue to use their bathroom as they once had while minimising the risk of accidents.

02 – Easy to use taps

If you suffer from arthritis, then using taps – regardless of whether they’re left hand or right hand orientation – can become a tricky task. That’s why we’ve ensured that all of our baths come with easy to use taps to make turning the water on and off simple and pain free.

Similarly, our taps are also temperature controlled so that you won’t scald yourself on them.

03 – Slip resistant base

To minimise the risk of accidents, our bathtubs all come with a slip resistance base. This way you can enjoy your deep soak without worrying about slipping while you get in and out, or even slipping off of the seat.

When you know that you can exit your bathtub safely, you’ll be able to bathe in confidence.

04 – Secure grab hand rails

If you’ve become more unsteady on your feet than you used to be, then getting out of the bath can make you too afraid to bathe. We understand that, which is why we install our walk in baths with secure grab hand rails.

This ensures that you can pull yourself up and step out from your bath independently.

05 – Biocote technology

Each of the walk in baths in our range are equipped with Anti-Microbial treatments to improve your hygiene while bathing. This built in biocote technology helps to protect against:

  • E-Coli
  • Staphyloccus Aureus
  • Aspergillus Niger (Black Mould)
  • Salmonella
  • MRSA
  • Campylobacter
  • Listeria
